Dear Family, April 12, 2010
I am thoroughly enjoying the spring weather in Ohio. I hope everything is going well for you guys at home. Not much is happening down on my end. Even though I got sick this past Friday and Saturday. I do not know what caused it I was fine all day until our dinner appointment and I just puked my guts. My first sick day great! I am doing fine right now. I realized that missionaries are such pack rats and previous missionaries leave too much junk behind. Well, I should let you know in advance that transfers are coming up on April 28. Just to close this email I would like to say this poem to you guys:
Trees and Man
The tree that didn't have to fight
For sun and sky and air and light,
But lived out on the open plain
And always got its share of rain,
Never became a "Forest King,"
But lived and died a scrubby thing.
The man that never had to toil,
The man who never tasted spoil,
Who never had to win his share
Of sun and sky and light and air,
Never became a manly man.
But lived and died where he began.
Good timber does not grow with ease
The stronger the winds the tougher the trees,
The further the sky the greater the length
The more the storms the more the strength,
By sun and cold and rain and snow
In "trees or man" good timbers grow.
Where thickest stands the "Forest Growth,"
We find the "Patriarchs" of both,
Who hold a converse with the stars
Whose broken branches show many scars
Of many winds and much of strife,
This is the common law of life.
That is it the author is anonymous sorry. I hope everything is going well and hope to hear from you next week.
Love,
Elder Behrmann
